I'm thinking that numerous News updates on the totem paintings may be too intrusive for the Facebook and Twitter links to the website. I'll experiment with posting updates to the Blog on the Journey with the totems instead.
Now that the icon commissions have been completed, the 3-month push to get ready for the two back-to-back exhibitions of my 'Journeying With The Totems' is in full swing. It will be a challenging time which will test the metal that this artist is made of.

The icon of Sts Anna and Joachim has been completed. Based on other icons of this composition, fresh foliage has been added to the frame and background, which ties in to the image of the young Theotokos in the center "First-Fruits of our Salvation", along with a disc of the Holy Spirit at the top. The common thread through the icons for this client is that, even though the name inscriptions are in Greek, the textual inscriptions are in English.

The St. Malachy Icon has been completed and is on its way to St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE ON ANY FURTHER ICON COMMISSIONS UNTIL THE SPRING - MARCH 2015. THE NEXT 3 - 4 MONTHS WILL BE FOCUSED ON PREPARATIONS FOR BACK TO BACK EXHIBITIONS OF THE 'JOURNEYING WITH THE TOTEMS' SERIES.
Andre Prevost, began his work in theatre in the late 70s and in iconography in 1980 and has a large body of work in each. He has been based in Western Canada; North Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and now back in North Vancouver. He is also currently working on a series of acrylic paintings 'Journeying with the Totems' which will be featured in 2 exhibitions in 2015.
