In my struggles with the Centenary Icon which needs to be completed in 4 days (I can't begin to explain how much still needs to be done), I've been also feeling melancholic about not being able to present the totem series in the upcoming Art Vancouver show. It all comes down to finances. It would have been wonderful to present them there and getting them known by Vancouverites and others coming in for the show. I hope this won't be a setback in the momentum around this series which I will be adding to once the icon is completed and shipped to Winnipeg after next weekend.
You help in getting the word out is greatly appreciated.

Glad to announce that the 'STORE' is up and running, and I made my first online sale today; the Grizzly #1 painting. Would very much appreciate your passing the word around as I move forward, with my thanks for your support and interest in my work.
I miss working on the totem series and working on getting the word out about it. But I have an important icon commission that requires my full attention at the moment and with a fast dwindling time limit. I'll be back at it in a few weeks.
I had hoped to be part of the upcoming Art Vancouver in May, but I just don't have the funds to pay the high upfront fee. So I am looking for other other opportunities to show the series on the Mainland. I'd love to also do more showings on the Island but the cost of ferry crossings is a factor (my recent Parksville exhibition took 3 round-trips).
I invite your requests and recommendations through my 'Contact' tab. A big thank you for your support and for following My Journal. André |
