A third exhibition is now closed and packed out. All three exhibitions have been very well received artistically but from conversations, the series needs to get its foot in the door with the professional galleries and art buyers. And thanks to the new Federal Law against spamming, an artist is very limited in how to reach out to this range of contacts. I'm sure the Canadian Artists were not the focus of this law, but as with any law using that 'broad brush' in its wording, artists are hindered while out of boundary spamming goes on unabated.
So the next exhibition is scheduled for the Mission Arts Council from February 16 - March 5th, 2016. I'll update the blog with new activity(ies) and progress. But for now, without any sales, this artist needs to quickly find other income to keep the home front afloat. A big thank you to Janice Cotter, the Port Moody Art Council's selection committee, and all its volunteers for your wonderful support. And a big thank you to everyone who support my work, came to see the exhibit, and who keep in touch through this Journal.
