First day working onsite for the exhibition went well. The first bit of the afternoon was quiet, which gave me time to work out the design on the canvas and begin blocking in some colour. The gallery's easel is a bit too light in structure but I can make it again tomorrow. I may consider bringing one of my own easels next week to have better support. I plan to work on this 12"x36" Northern Wolf totem and finish the 24"x36" that I started some time ago. If I can get these two done for the next exhibition, that should be enough. I find that after the afternoon, I will likely be too tired to work on another one at home in the evening.
But I will savor every moment while at the gallery. When do you ever get such an opportunity to talk to people about your art, and have such an amazing view. I'm in heaven with the water so near. Sun, rain, and fog - all beautiful. And the hear the eagle in the nearby treetop, even better.
I heard that the gallery may change its hours to Noon-5pm instead of Noon-4pm for February. My posters all say 4pm but that shouldn't be too much of a problem with the traffic on the sea wall.
