I decided to escape the terrible heat in my home yesterday with the 30C heat (which plagues us still today). I took the drive to Sooke to go see the Art Show again, both to see how my pieces were doing, and to take the time to see all the artwork in the show. I found that the Grizzly Bear Father (acrylic on exhibition canvas) is still for sale. But both the Canvas print an unframed print of it had sold in the Gift Shop. I had received a phone call from a woman a few days earlier saying that she was at a framer's with the giclee print and loved this painting. The Raven painting has its beautiful red dot. I checked with the gift shop and they reported that 4 of the 5 canvas prints had sold, as did 2 of the 6 unframed prints. The remaining canvas print (Eagle & Raven Shield) is on display, while the remaining unframed prints are unfortunately out of sight, being in one of those bins of prints that you flip through. The remaining 4 unframed prints, if you are going to the show and looking for them are: - The Child Cub With Human Mother - The Kwaguitl Ancestor - The Raven (print of the painting which is also part of the show and sold) - The Eagle & Raven Shield The Sooke Fine Arts Show continues through this Long Weekend, with its last day on August 1st.
If anyone is planning a trip to the Show, do let me know through the Contact tab above.
